College of Health Sciences alumni touching lives in Kajiado County
Mount Kenya University alumni are making waves!
We’re so proud of a number of our College of Health Sciences alumni, who, through their NGO @Najimudu Empowerment Initiative, held the second edition of their inspiring Climate-Resilient Health event scheduled for 6th-10th November, 2024!
The alumni who constitute the top management for the organization are also the founders of the giant addressing nexus between Climate and Health. Partnering with more than ten organizations, they hosted a free medical camp at Full Gospel Church Kitengela. They provided vital healthcare check-ups to the community, and planted trees at Kitengela GK Prison to promote a sustainable, healthier future.
Director of Alumni Relations Ms. Virginiah Kiunga who attended the event was overjoyed to witness the dedication and impact of our alumni, especially as they engaged students in this life-changing work.
“Seeing our alumni lead such transformative initiatives and include our students is truly inspiring,” she said.
We encourage you to take part and initiate activities that uplift our communities! If you’re organizing a similar event or need support, let us know—we’d love to highlight your efforts.
