SheBlooms Alumni Pads Drive

Let’s keep 5,000 girls in school — period.

During our International Women’s Day reunion in March, 2025, we came together to celebrate the strength and potential of women, sharing stories of resilience and empowerment. It was during this time that we realized the power we have as a community to make a real difference for the students who need us most.

In the context of period poverty, the difference between dreams achieved and dreams shuttered might be as simple as having access to sanitary products. Without them, many girls miss school, drop out, or suffer in silence—shuttering dreams that could have been achieved with just a little support.

With a student population of over 62,000 at Mount Kenya University, we know that many are facing this challenge. Our goal is to raise 20,000 packets of sanitary pads for 5,000 students this Month, May, 2025—because no girl should see her dreams shuttered by something as simple as a pad.

Here’s how your donation can help:

Kshs. 2,000 = Supports 10 girls for 1 semester

Kshs. 1,000 = Supports 5 girls for 1 semester

Kshs. 200 = Supports 1 girl for 1 semester

💡 One pad = One day of class, one exam taken

🩸 One donation = One protected future

As alumni, we have the power to ensure these girls don’t miss out on their futures. Together, we can help their dreams bloom—by making sure they have the tools they need to succeed.
